Marilyn’s Handguard is a safety device designed to prevent accidents arising through the use of rotary cutters.
The Handguard is made of clear, colourless perspex. It has five gel plastic grips on the bottom so it will not slip on your rulers.
This guard is an improvement over the others on the market for several reasons:
1.The protecting barrier is a full 1½” high, not a mere ¼”.
2. It is not permanently attached to a ruler, so it can be easily switched to whichever ruler is being used.
3. It is a good investment as only one needs to be purchased & can be used with all cutting rulers.
4. It's easy to use. Bring it home, take it out of the bag, place it on your ruler & you're ready to work! 

Other advantages of the guard: -the vinyl dots not only prevent the guard from slipping, they enable the user to exert more even pressure on the ruler itself & prevent it from slipping on the fabric -this also holds the ruler more securely so that it doesn't slide or twist around, this has been noticed by people who may have a problem exerting pressure on their rulers due to arthritis.
